BEST OXTAIL IN THE CITY HANDS DOWN everything is always fresh and the flavor is consistent i ordered through uber eats and my order was stolen. kingston caribbean called me and notified me- refunded me and even stayed open a few mins for me to come and pick up my order 10/10
This meal was amazing! The pasta is super creamy and full of flavor, and the oxtail is so tender it falls right off the bone. The gravy ties everything together perfectly. Pure comfort food! Will be returning for some more.
I grabbed the oxtail sandwich and the jerk chicken lunch special. The jerk chicken was more on the vinegary side so not terrible, but not my preference. The rice and peas it came with were a bit different from what Im use to, may have be a different grain of rice. But the winner for me was the oxtail sandwich. I was a little surprised by the cost, as it only covers the sandwich, but I would definitely return for just that! It was the perfect amount of everything with the cocobread bun, beef patty, oxtail and macaroni. It took no longer than about 10 mins to prepare my order. It's more of a takeout than dine-in spot for me. It's plaza has some parking and there's more on either side. I wish they listed their prices on menu, but I will revisit.
We ordered online for pick up so we didn't have much interaction with the staff. The space was clean. The food was hot and ready at the pick up time. The oxtail sandwich was delicious. Everything was very flavorful and cooked well. I would go back.
I'm a fan. My cousins and I have decided that this is the spot to go when we're in the area. We came because she wanted their oxtail sandwich. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It looked amazing!! She absolutely loved it!! Kuddos for having some vegan options. That's a huge thing for me. Not only that, they had good vegan options that were yummy. I hate ordering at places and I taste it and it's disappointing because I could have cooked it better. My food was good. Veggie eggroll - loved these! Really good with the spicy sauce that came with it. Brown stew tofu with rice and peas and plantains. Yumm!! The portion was huge and I had plenty of leftovers. Just as food the next day. The tofu's flavor was really good. You can tell that they cook it separately. Of course it's not exactly like the meat option but still flavorful!! Would definitely order again. I will say to be patient with how long it takes. My cousins' food came out way quicker than mine did. But honestly I can appreciate it. It's fresh, they took their time and it was well worth the wait.
First time ordering from this place. Next time I'll go for myself then DoorDash due to no drink being placed in my order. The food was good was surprised by the portion but it sure was delicious. I'm glad I order coco bread too
I was really in the mood for Jamaican food. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in and was greeted. I ordered the small curry chicken with rice and peas, and cabbage for $15. It took about 15 minutes. When I dug in, the food was very good and had the right amount of spice. All in all I had a good experience.
